I have a bachelors of science in design, and over decade of professional interactive design experience. Interior design has definitely stolen a piece of my heart and become a passion, and more than just a “side hustle.” Being a visual person, I take photos and make realistic Photoshop mockups of everything before I start a project on the house. It’s a quick way to work through ideas and design dilemmas. It’s a fun outlet for me, and I love doing this for others!

About Us
We’re Rachael and Garret Young, and we built our first house in 2018. Fixing up our builder-grade house and making it our home has become our favorite hobby!
Garret is truly a jack of all trades. Anything Rachael dreams up, Garret finds a way to make it. Bonus points if he gets to buy a new power tool.
Rachael was an interactive designer for years before making the decision to stay home with three kids and two dogs. Her design background and passion for home goods shopping led us here, to @firsthouseonfinn.
